Globalstar announced their new Sat-Fi2 RAS (Remote Antenna Station) mobile satellite Wi-Fi hotspot is now shipping. Designed for installation in vehicles or marine vessels, it includes a helix antenna with 14 feet of low loss cable. The SF2-RAS-HX includes a magnetic mount helix antenna and the SF2-RAS-MR has a marine-ready mast mount.

A separate magnetic mount GPS antenna with 18 ft cable is also included. The removable Wi-Fi antenna connects to the side of the unit and provides up to 50 feet of coverage. The housing has a rating of IP43 and measures 3.22 in H X 7.8 in L X 6.57 in W and weighs 4.4 lbs.

Connect up to eight smart devices on your own private satellite Wi-Fi network. Access compressed web content, check the weather, or post to social media accounts. With S.O.S. capabilities, remote and lone workers can communicate with GEOS emergency response if needed.

Globalstar Sat-Fi2 Advantage and Enterprise Service Agreements

All plans include Sat-Browse that uses compression technology to speed up web browsing and also lowers data downloads. Each plan has an allotment of voice minutes, data throughput, and SMS text messages. Unused airtime does not roll t the next billing cycle.

Globalstar Monthly Advantage Service Plan Choices

The Globalstar monthly plans include a low cost Advantage 40 for users needing limited communications. There is also Advantage 100, Advantage 250, and Advantage 500 that allow additional voice minutes, data allowance, and SMS messages.

Globalstar Annual Enterprise Seasonal Airtime Service Plans

Enterprise plans are billed annually for seasonal users who may use their data on an irregular schedule. With these plans the airtime expires at the end of the term rather than monthly. The Enterprise 480 plan is the lowest cost annual plan and is recommended for emergency managers or public-safety personnel who need backup communications.
